In Emperial Dreams the corrupt system is shown when in order for the main character to get a job he needs a license and to get a license he needs to pay off his child support he couldn't pay while in jail. To pay off the child support he needs to needs money but where is he supposed to get money from without being able to get a job. A life of criminal work could get him the money he needs to provide for his son and the life that was trying to be changed wouldn't be given any other choice but to adapt to the ways of the streets. A vicious cycle just continues over and over again not to be changed. If one should choose not to succumb to the ways of the streets then poverty continues and they are hurt from doing the right thing and can become stuck in the low class life they were given without a way to climb to the top. Being in poor leads to being homeless, and someone who is homeless without income isn't stable to be a parent and those with children have them taken away from them. It is nearly impossible to survive in this world as a lower class black individual or any other mistreated race, and that's what Emperial Dreams has shown me. My view on the world is that it is
