Ender's Game Bernard Bully Quotes

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Where many themes from compassion to ruthlessness exist. Bernard is an example of ruthlessness. In the story Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, the character Bernard is an antagonistic character that hinders Enter throughout the story. His constant bullying and attacking of others puts many other character’s down. In the novel, Bernard is a immoral character who makes the audience feel apathetic towards him by being a bully, he follows a crowd, and has no loyalty. Bernard’s immoral actions of being a bully makes the audience apathetic towards him. Bernard shows his hatred towards Ender when he claimed "This is no game. We're tired of you, Ender. You graduate today. On ice."(Scott Card 208). Many people would agree that Bernard’s early actions would show how he is a bully. For example on the flight to battle school Bernard keeps hitting Ender in the head and Bernard knows that he is a bully to others and doesn’t do anything to change that. For an audience to know that the character is aware that he is a bully and not do anything about it makes the audience feel apathetic towards him. Overall the actions of Bernard make
Bernard’s actions towards many others is being rude and bullying. Then we see Bernard as one of those that follow Bonzo to attack Ender but to some it shows that how he is a follower or to me shows how he is smart in going with others to attack Ender. We then see how Bernard is smart and dishonorable with him trying to build his own “kingdom” so to speak, but is able to manipulate others into following him. Altogether Bernard’s immoral characteristics prove how he is a bully but also somewhat smart. He uses his smarts to make his own “kingdom” and the attack with Bonzo. He is a bully for putting everybody down and attacking others. But all in all Bonzo is a pretty apathetic
