Character Analysis: Ender’s Game-Andrew “Ender” Wiggins
In the book Ender's Game written by Orson Scott Card, Andrew Wiggin is the main character or protagonist. Although his real name is Andrew Wiggin, he goes by the nickname “Ender”. He is the protagonist since the main plot is centered on him. In its majority, the story is centered in Ender’s development in battle school to become the Commander who will save mankind from the destruction of the buggers but then it is known that ist is the humans who will attack the buggers this time. In addition Ender is a dynamic or round character in the story. This is because ender goes through tremendous changes; his personality goes from being a small submissive child into gaining authority and becoming an assertive leader. Ender becomes very confident and commands his troops without much difficulty. Ender goes from a small underdog in salamander army to a ferocious commander of Dragon army who exceeds every expectation.
Ender Wiggin is often referred to as a little person since he is very short for his age but even though Ender is only six years old; he does not as a kid of his age. Just as his two brothers, Ender is a genius, we know this way he talks and thinks. Ender plans far ahead in his decisions, he uses his intelligence when posed in a difficult situation. He is very mature for his age and he sees a lot of things that even adults cannot see. When Ender is in combat, no matter how outnumbered or outgunned he may be in battle, Ender always finds a way to overcome the odds; no matter how big or skillful the enemy is. When in a difficult situation, Ender is capable of using his surroundings to his to his advantage. In addition he has an ability to be extremely calm when placed in difficult situations. Ender is a great leader. He was sent to be a commander at battle school and since the beginning he has shown great promise as a toon’ leader and
