Assignment 3: Argumentative/Persuasive Essay

Weightage: 15%
Nature of Assignment: Pair work

Due Date: Week 8 (before 4 pm)

Write an argumentative/persuasive essay on the topic below. There should at least be 5 references from 3 different sources in the essay. This assignment should be about 600 - 650 words.

If you submit a paper that is not entirely your own you will be given a zero. No make-up assignment will be entertained.

Plagiarism
A coursework that is found to contain any form of plagiarism, whether in part or in full, will be awarded a zero with no resubmission of coursework allowed.

The assignment must be typed with formal fonts such as Times New Roman (12pt), Verdana (11pt), Tahoma (11pt) and Arial (11pt). You must also remember to double-space the lines. Ensure the text is justified on the right side of the margin.

A cover page for this assignment is not necessary. The following information must be made available at the top left corner of the page.

IMPORTANT
Coursework must be submitted on their due dates. If a coursework is submitted after its due date, the following penalty will be imposed:

ONE day late: 5 marks deducted from the total marks awarded.

TWO days late: 10 marks deducted from the total marks awarded.

THREE or more days late: Assignment will not be marked and 0% will be awarded.
For example: A student scores 60 marks for an assignment that has a total mark of 100. If the assignment is submitted one day late, the marks awarded will be 55 marks.
