In my writings I am going to be discussing the beliefs of James Q. Wilson and Douglas N. Husak. They both have very different views on drugs, Wilson is more of the conservative who believes drugs should be banned altogether, as opposed to Husak, who believes the use of drugs should be a personal choice. First, I am going to talk about James Q. Wilson and his views against the legalization of drugs. One of Wilsons claims is that the lack of availability would lead to less drug use and addiction. Wilson believes that if drugs were to be legalized then it will be easier for addicts to recruit other people into trying new drugs.…

Drugs are common in our world today and seem to cause problems in some cases. For example, a teenager in high school discovers the use of drugs. The teenager starts doing drugs and starts caring less and less about his or her school work or extracurricular activities. This concept of doing drugs applies to anyone though, not just teenagers. Therefore, partaking in doing drugs makes many people forget about their responsibilities in life. More importantly, these people should keep trying in their everyday fight and not take the easy way out of it. They must battle these temptations of doing drugs, because it will take them away from what is actually important in…

Every year 33,700 people die from car crashes in the United States. Only 14,800 die from opioid overdose. If such…

Many people get prescribed drugs for medical reasons, and that is fine, but those drugs can be misused by the owner, or sold for bad purposes. Alcohol also plays a big role in deaths per year.
