5. Your first visit to a foreign country ( or to a large city).
These days visiting a foreign country has become quite common and easy, and i have had the opportunity to visit many countries. But my first visit to a foreign country is Taiwan. It really impressed me because the people there is so friendly and there are many kinds of delicious foods in taiwan.
I have traveled alone in taiwan, so I have no tourguide to take me to must-seeing sightseeing. I must look for a visit place throught a guide book. Certainly I have got lost and didn’t know how to get to the visit place. So I have asked native people for help. They have shown me how to get to the visit place, but it made me so confuse because this was the first time I have come to taiwan. They knew it so they decided to drive me to the visit place and told me a lot about taiwan. It really impressed me, because I am a stranger and they don’t know me but they helped. That they have helped me have impressed me a lot.
Besides, the food there was so decious that i didn’t want to leave taiwan. I have had many dishes there, such as stingy tofu, Bubble tea, three-cup chicken, Dimsum... but the food I like best is fried pork chop which is a taiwan traditional dish and also cheap. It was crisp outside, juice inside and as big as my face. It is so tasty that I have decided to learn to cook in order that i can cook for my family.
In summary, Taiwan has given me a lot good memories. I believe that I will have a chance to visit this beautiful country again someday.

I’ve been to China when I was just three years old, in 2009. It was a first experience for many, many things and activities. It was the first time I went fishing, two years later I was obsessed with fishing, I went to eat things that are almost only from that area, and I also learned how to ride a bike there. It’s a place of fun and memory for me. Even though it has a lot of cons,(cleanliness, air conditioning, smell, …) it also has a lot of pros too though (lots of activities, pet turtles, better food, there’s a park in my area, and family time). I really, really like traveling to China, that’s basically what I want to say. We go…

Traveling internationally is always eye-opening. No matter how much you read ahead of time, you'll be confronted with culture and custom that you are unprepared for. The farther removed the culture is from your own, the more you can expect to be surprised. Novice travelers will struggle with the basics... everything from getting a cab to finding a public bathroom can offer a challenge. Veteran travelers will be more secure with the small stuff and that may offer them a firm-enough foundation to give them the confidence to try the more challenging things. That is where we were on our recent adoption trip to China: Veteran third-time travelers who were confident that we could do anything and blend right in. Our trip to the real Chinese restaurant taught us otherwise. It was our second week in China. We were there with our two previously adopted Chinese children, ages ten and eleven, and we'd just added a new family member. She was a new daughter, age twelve, and she spoke not a word of English. Things had been going very well, and our new daughter was really fitting in seamlessly. This being our third trip, we felt pretty cocky. We snickered good-naturedly as first-time travelers timidly peeked outside the doors of the hotel onto the Chinese thoroughfare. They might make a run for the McDonald’s now and again, or go all the way up the block to KFC, but actually heading out into the big city, sans guide, was not on their bucket list for the time being. That was not for us. We decided that we'd all head out to an authentic local restaurant, the sort frequented by the Chinese rather than by westerners; the type with plastic curtains rather than doors; a restaurant with no western influences beyond the ubiquitous presence of Coca-Cola products.Three hungry children herded between us, my wife and I set out to find just the right place. We headed out the less-frequently-used rear entrance of Guangzhou's China Hotel, which spilled out onto the broad Panfu Avenue, a typical…

Thailand is well known for a friendly people and the cultures. I was born in Thailand and grew up with a warm loving family. There are 8 members in my family which are my parents, nanny, granddad, 2 brothers and my auntie, including me and the dog Hunter. When I was a child my mom and dad normally goes to work early morning, my brother and I then stayed at home with my nanny, granddad and my auntie. On Saturday at 6.00am I normally got to the market with my Nan we used to go there by an old motorbike which my Nan brought it since she was 30 and at that time she was 60. I go there often and a lot of the people around there will recognize me every time I go because I was the only girl around there that has a curly hair and also a mixed of Thai and British. Thai people were the most giving, caring, respectful people and always has a great big smile on their face this is the reason why I’m proud of my birth country. The other thing I’m proud of my country is the food luckily my Nan cooks the most delicious food in the world especially egg fried rice. We don’t go out to eat outside that often because my Nan cooks at home every day and it’s so delicious that you just don’t want to go eat outside. Although it’s really cheap to go eat outside, Thai people will order a lot of different curries or food they like and share it around the table. One curries only cost a pound so it is cheap to go out and eat although if you go to a 5 star restaurant it will be more expensive than that. At school we learn 6 subjects per day which are Thai languages, English, math, science and social/history.…
