“A persons a person no matter how small”
“A person was written by Dr. Seuss in his book “Horton Hears a Who”. Dr. Seuss uses Horton the elephant to teach young readers, that everyone should be treated equally and should be given the same respect as everyone else. Today we often think that because someone’s lower class then others they should be treated with less respect. However, people of lower class should be treated the same and given the same respect as anyone else. We can give them the same rights as everyone else, treat them with respect and dignity and learn to understand that not all those in a lower class choose to be there but rather had no other choice.
Often people of a lower class are taken advantage of by society and are often stripped of their rights. Some of the rights that have been taken away from the lower class are their ability to get a higher education. Many of those in the lower class often haven’t completed school not by choice but rather by need. Many lower classes can’t often afford to go to school because entrance fees are too much or tuition is too high. The government should fund a program that would allow the lower class to get a higher education. This would benefit the lower class tremendously as it would allow them to get a higher paying job and make living conditions more comfortable for them and their families. The lower class is often unable to obtain a high paying job, due to employers basing their decision on outwards appearance and assuming that because of their appearance they aren’t reliable and a suitable employee for their company. However, companies should not base their decision on the outward appearance, but rather on the abilities and talents that the employee has. In the same way many of the lower class, often are unable to afford comfortable living conditions for themselves and often their families because they don’t have the money to do so.
