I revived the Literature Club at Trade Tech to create a platform to promote English and writing in forms that were digestible to people who weren’t English majors, and reach out to my community and the school to painstakingly lay out to them that literature and writing matters and an appreciation for it should exists not only at school, but in our community.

As the president of the Literature Club, I am changing people's attitudes towards the process of reading and writing while cultivating a community of readers and writers on campus. Through the Lit Club, I am able to guide students through the many different genres and styles of literature. We analyze other forms of literature like movie scripts, music lyrics, and comic books to promote the diversity of literature.
