The reader-response appeal to literature relies on the reader’s ability to process the information being shared rather than the author or the text itself. With the reader-response, a person reads text and then relates to automatic explanations about life that are triggered moment by moment as they continue to read. The literature uses triggers that the reader’s nervous system spontaneously responds to. This type of approach to reading allows people to imagine and be creative within them. It allows the reader to hear, feel and smell what they are reading as if it were happening right now in front of them.…

In my 10th grade English class I was mentored by one of my preparatory teachers named Mr. Zeljak. The overall premise of the criteria for students was to be prepared for the class and show dedication through our rigorous course work. In reference to the level of difficulty of the English class, there was little to no concern when completing assignments, however, the class was sanctioned in having students master the abilities of comprehension and literary analysis. Individuals within the class demonstrated respect and cooperation with other students when commencing in group activities which correlated to my success in the course. The fact that this is my first AP class makes me unaware of what the class will be like in terms of exertion, however, I am also willingly prepared for whatever obstacle that might challenge my current abilities. The reason I applied for this advanced placement class is to challenge my current expertise in literary analysis and comprehension. I would like to apply my newly learned skills to prepare for soon to be future college development.…

Most of my assignments are done on my personal computer at home so that leads me to the next course of action. Next, I will Make sure to get on D2L every morning and once at night time to check for updates, emails, discussions, and anything else I might have missed during the day. Then, I will make sure I have made note of all due dates for reading, assignments, and discussion boards. I will then make sure I download instructions to all materials and assignments and print them out to have in front of me. Next, I will dedicate one to…

Some of the most beneficial things that I have learned during this semester of English 250 was based around getting a feel again, for what it is to be an academic based author. I relearned what proper MLA format is supposed to look like, along with how to correctly cite sources without plagiarizing. Along with those examples I learned more of what it means to sound professional in writing, rather than writing as if I were to be having a conversation with someone else. And some of my favorite things that I did while in English 250 had to be the research paper, because I was able to dig deep into my own research and study a topic that was very interesting to me, and in the end compose an essay that I thought was well constructed and more professional…
