Enhanced Beauty One day, long ago, God created the earth. The earth is a beautiful place that provided many things for the Indian tribes. The Kahto tribe thanked God for his creations on earth daily. The Kahto tribe believed as a reward for their appreciation, God would give them a gift. A few days later, the Kahto tribe realized that the sky was cracking open. They realized that it was their father that had cracked the sky open. The sky cracked and the Indians watched as many brightly colored creatures appeared in the sky. They watched as the creatures fluttered around. The Kahto tribe then gave the creatures the name of “fluttering wings.” They thank their father for his gift he had given the earth because it had enhanced the beauty on earth. As summer was approaching, the “fluttering wings” began to travel to the milkweed. When the fluttering wings arrived at the milkweed, they left behind little balls that were smaller than berry seeds on the leaves of milkweed plant. After leaving the little balls behind on the milkweeds, the fluttering wings souls left to earth to go back to their father. The Kahto tribe did not question the return of the fluttering wings. They did not question when God called for the souls of the beautiful creatures because they had faith in their father. Many days passed until the Indians spotted any movement among the little balls left behind by the beautiful creatures. After weeks of waiting the little balls cracked open. When the little balls cracked open, the Indians were shocked at what they saw. They observed slimy creatures crawling out of the egg. When the slimy creatures were out of the balls, the Indians believed a curse was put on their tribe because God had taken away the beautiful fluttering wings and replaced them with slimy creatures. They believed that God had put a curse on the tribe because he was unhappy with them. The tribe began to pray to their father to
