Estrogen Chemicals can be found in: * Pharmaceuticals (hormone therapy drugs, birth control pills) * Pesticides (insecticides, fungicides) * Plastic linked products (Bisphenol A, phthalates) * Heavy metals (Mercury, Lead) * Household Products (detergents)
Environmental Estrogens are manufactured for a purpose such as contraceptives and pesticides.

Biologists and Toxicologists found out about the feminization of Male fish by looking at eggs of fish and seeing that a certain type had no fertilized eggs. They then went and found that the male fish were producing a protein named vitellogenin which they found is used in the process of making egg yolks. The Fish had changed in the inside most likely due to Bisphenol A.
A Canadian Study found that women flush too many birth control and hormone therapy pills down the toilet, and that wastewater runoff containing these products are polluting the waters.
