The second point that Emerson said is people should not conform to their own society and just be themselves because that’s what god intended for us to be is unique in our own way but if we all conform to society we all become the same person and that takes away our individuality, and we know this because in this quote he says "Trust thyself; every heart vibrates to that iron string. Accept the place the divine providence has found for you" and what he means by that is that anyone should trust themselves and be who they are and that each persons heart vibrates a different way. The third and final point that Ralph Emerson makes is that it is okay to be misunderstood by others and society and that every person has their own opinions and he also says this "Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. With Emerson's second point I disagree that a person should not conform to society because if a person don’t conform they might not find someone to relate to or might be bullied because they're are different and that just brings more harm than good to a persons life.
