with the rise of immigrates and the color of a person's skin soon came discrimination. For centuries, white people were depicted as a superior race and racism against colored skins was at its highest. Having colored skin automatically set you back compared to the average white person during this time period. Immigrates were faced with discrimination on a daily basis and was quickly a growing problem that soon needed a change. People of color who came from a different country were shown to earn less and were treated unfairly in an unjust manner. Boycotts soon took placed and many wanted equality amongst each other. Gradually, with the inspiration from many leaders, immigrates and colored people made a big leap in changing how it was before.
For centuries, women were depicted and subjected to be housewives.
Women wanted to achieve equal rights and they demanded they had every right to do a man's job. Feminism soon surfaced and they first sought to be able to vote. For decades, women formed groups to fight for their freedom and later they were able to accomplish this. During WW2, women were exposed to be able to work in a man's job. Many felt thrilled and independent to be able to work for themselves and to be able to earn their own money. This gave that extra push to fight for their right as a woman to vote and to be equal among both genders.
Before long, the subject of money being earned was quickly brought up. People of color and women were the victims of the unfair amount of money earned. Boycotts and riots commonly took place. The demand for equality among another sharply rose. This continued for several decades till progress was finally noticeable. Famous leaders often took place in boycotts and riots. They led the majority of the groups to come together and seek change. This inspired many to join and to make a brighter future for the next generation.
At last, progress was soon inevitable. Many lives were lost but it was at a great cost to ensure the lives of many a brighter and equal future together. We have come at a great length to where we stand today. Though, equality is still a popular subject to talk about and some people still argue about equality. In the end, many can agree we have progressed tremendously then how it was a century
ago.
