Sixty-five is when you hit this stage and most people, if not already, have retired from their job and now beginning the descent in your life by travelling, spending time with grandkids, etc. This stage focuses on how an older person will take chances and do something even though they shouldn’t do it and as well as how they don’t take risks because they know that they are too old. There are some activities that can be very hard for older people to participate in. Their body can be a little more fragile than what they were when they were younger. An older person may want to take dance lessons but are worried that they could put their back out or possibly something worse. Then they end up not doing it, but regret that they didn’t go for it. When you get older, it can be scary knowing that your life can come to an end any time from doing something that can strain your heart, lungs, bones, etc. Though no one should leave this earth with regret. The ages will range from infancy all the way up to around the age of eighteen. Every client that they work with will be in the different stages of developing. Some children could be developing faster then others. Every child will be coming from different background where they could have been the adult in the house hold taking care of their parent(s) even though they should be the kid not the parent, they could have been abused, etc. A CYCP need to have an understanding that they don’t know who going to be coming in looking for help and how they may act. Knowing the different stages and knowing how a child develops depending on their age can help with creating different strategy plan to assist them with the problems they have. CYCP are not going to create some type of task or event for a sixteen-year-old when it may be something like drawing in a colouring book where that is more for a child who is six. Having an idea of what is more appropriate and what can help with what a child is going through by having an understanding the developing stages and they crisis that they can experience will help to create a stronger relationship for the child and the
