Esmeralda Alternate Ending
After a quick call to Rosalie to ask if she could keep Yaya overnight, which thankfully she consented to. In a moment Esmeralda was humming happily as she set the table for a delicious dinner with Chris the love of her Vida for the first time in what felt like forever. For the next couple hours they sat together eating, laughing , reminiscing and catching up. Holding hands over the table , sipping on light after dinner drinks, enjoying each other's company, music played softly in the background, cocooning them in a romantic haze. While Esmeralda cleaned up the dishes , putting away leftovers for later , Chris arranged his few belongings in their proper place returning to wrap his arms around her waist, from behind kissing her soft brown hair . …show more content…
Turning to snuggle against him, Esmeralda placed a kiss on his muscular chest through the thin fabric of his T-shirt,“ I love you too, it's so wonderful to have you home.” “ I'm glad we were able to get this night together, although I'm sure you're excited to meet your precious niña”. “Let's move to the couch and I'll show you the photo album thus far, I may have gone a little overboard ;but I knew you would want to feel a part of everything.” Taking Chris by the hand she leads him over to a cozy black loveseat perfectly positioned against the wall beneath the living room window , opposite the television, over stuffed bookshelf and already growing Toybox . Taking the photo album off the end table, they began to flip through the pictures , dutifully filling him in on all the little things he had missed and would need to

I ran out of the garage and towards the field. As I ran I thought to myself it can’t be the end of the season already has it? Once I found Roberto and Papa I saw they were sitting under a tree. I was trying to speak in between panting. I had never run so hard in my life. “Papa is is the end of the season already. I mean it has only been a month.” I said hastily. “I'm sorry but Sullivan can no longer pay us. We must move.” Papa sighed, “I'm sorry Francisco.” Roberto stayed silent and was looking down.I didn’t know how to respond just thinking about all that I would lose during this move saddened me. I no longer would be able to learn the trumpet, no longer be taught English, and I would lose a friend; Mr. Lema.…

Octavia rented a two-bedroom apartment in the city of Paterson. Octavia kept her apartment organized. Everything was its rightful place. Nothing was thrown about hap-hazard like in Juliet’s studio apartment in South Shore. The light grey walls of the living room had accents of light pinks, blues, and silvers. The sofa and love seat were an elegant silver topped with pale pink throw pillows. The large television on the wall faced the grey couch. Surrounding the TV was various, simple paintings in dark frames. A glass coffee table was in front of the sofa. Neatly stacked magazines were on top of the clear…

“Ugh!”, he grunts from how large the suitcase is. “Will you be able to carry that, Scottie?” she says, her face, worn from time, twists with concern for her son. “Of course”, he laughs. “Okay, if you’re sure.” She says as she opens the metal gate to the front yard. They slowly walk through the cracked pathway until they reach the steps to the porch. Beatrice opens the sturdy door with her keys. “Honey, I’m home!” Scottie yells into the empty living room. “Must you do that every time you come inside the house?” She says fondly. “Of course, I must.” He says as if she should already have known the answer. While they were talking, Alice and Jake, Scottie’s younger siblings, heard his announcement and excitedly ran out of their room and down the beige stairs. “Stop making all that racket!” she admonishes her children. “SCOTTIE!” they yell out enthusiastically. “You’re home!” Alice states, full of wonder that her big older brother is finally back where he belongs. “Well, it’s obvious that I’m home unless I’m an imposer who’s secretly an alien”, He jokes, winking at Alice. “I definitely didn’t miss your humor,” Jake lightheartedly says. “Oh, come on, I tell the best jokes”, Scottie says smiling. “Yeah right, in your dreams”, Jake jokingly teases. “Leave your brother alone for right now. He had a long trip and he’s probably exhausted.” Beatrice gently tells to her…
