It is very hard to figure out if she is likeable or not. On one hand she is trying to warn her family about the dangers they could face if they continue on their journey to Florida. But on the other hand it is hard to dislike her because of how she is turns out to be right in the end. She uses satire when she is setting the tone for the family dynamics in the car on the way to their destination in Florida.
