Essay On Becoming A Chp Officer
Someone can enter into the US military at an enlisted level at the age of 18 without parental consent. If a person is able to risk their life serving their country, they have more than earned the right to be considered an adult. There are many inconsistencies when it comes to the age of responsibility, like the different age requirements for joining the military and becoming a CHP officer. There’s no reason that a 18 year old can join the military, yet are not considered old enough to be a CHP officer, since there are arguably more job-related risks for someone in the military. This is one of the few reasons that 18 years should be the point at which someone is considered an adult.
