In my opinion, today and in Franklin’s time, the idea of moderation stays the same, however today, people are not getting satisfied with less, they are always wanting more, consuming excessive amount of goods unneeded. Likewise, I am also like that. I do not think it is correct to exaggerate, nevertheless live a complex life, but it is how the world has shaped me and how the environment I live in influenced me, and this is what associates me to this virtue.
Similarly, sincerity is defined by Franklin as one of the marks that makes a true man. Defined as “freedom from deceit or duplicity; honesty in intention,” seeking sincerity is becoming someone that is confident and avoids dishonesty around themselves. It is an important virtue in my opinion to be followed, it creates an environment of trust and peace among people. I have indeed always been kind and respectful to people, seeking the truth and always trying to help others. A life without lies is important when Franklin created the list of virtues as well as today.
Besides the different beliefs from Franklin’s time, today I can still relate to some of his virtues each in different manners. I personally think that a life with standards that are set to improve the way you live and to build a more successful life and a more morally correct
