The number one reason I like to write is because it can be very challenging. There is the challenge of finding the right topic to write about. There is the challenge of finding all of the information you may need to support your topic; which could take hours and sometimes even days of your time. Life can be very stressful at times, and when I can’t take it anymore, I grab my journal. For example, say I wake up and immediately start off having a bad day. The alarm clock didn’t go off, I get stuck in traffic, I spill my coffee all over my blouse, I’m already late for class because the alarm didn’t go off and traffic was so bad, and I sit down only to realize that I don’t even have my book I need for class. I’m sure these types of days happen to everyone, and I’m sure everyone handles them differently. I handle a bad day like this by telling my journal all about it. While writing in my journal, I write about everything that happened in my day. After I have wrote all I need to say, I re-read what I have wrote, and it is then that I realize it was not all bad. It reminds me that I was blessed to even wake up. It also reminds me that I have 4 beautiful children who love me very much. Once I am reminded of these things I calm down tremendously and look more toward the brighter sides of my
