A couple, in which both man and woman are infertile, can go for embryo donation. Some couples, who undergo IVF, produce more embryos than they can use. They may choose to donate these already made embryos to an infertile woman. In such cases, neither of them is the genetic parent of the child.

There are few cases where the conventional options cannot be used for having a baby.
