Essay On Marble Flooring
If you have marble flooring and you want your marble flooring to look great, you need to take proper care of your flooring. A large part of taking care of marble flooring involves waxing, stripping and polishing your floors. Over time, the wax used to make your marble floors shine tends to start to build up and makes your floors look foggy instead of shiny. When this happens, you need to remove the wax on your marble floors through a process called stripping.

Necessary Supplies

You will not need a lot of supplies to strip the wax from your marble flooring. You’ll want to use a scrub brush that has a long handle so you don’t have to get on the ground to scrub your floor. You will also need a mop made out of cotton as well as a gallon bucket.

You should also wear long sleeve and pants while cleaning your floors. You don’t want the ammonia-based wax cleaning solution to come in contact with your skin; it is a strong solution and could cause irritation to your skin.

Creating The Solution

You’ll also want to fill up the gallon bucket with warm water as well as the ammonia-based wax stripping cleaning solution. Make sure you follow the proportions of water and cleaning solution listed on the back of the specific cleaning solution that you purchased. It is really important that you measure out the water and the solution exactly as the bottle specifics; if you don’t dilute the cleaning solution enough, instead of stripping the old wax off, you could actually damage your marble floors.

Scrubbing The Floor

Dip the scrub brush with an extension handle into the bucket where you mixed the ammonia-based cleaning solution with the water. You’ll want to start scrubbing the floor on the opposite side of where the entrance to that room is located, so you can work you way out of the room without stepping on your previous work. You’ll want to work the room from left to right, and then from top to bottom. You’ll want to scrub in a circular motion in order to effectively cover the entire room and ensure that you remove all the old

Step 7 Paint the very tips (or bottom 1/3) using the darker version of that color. It should look almost feather like. Be sure to blend. Last, rinse out the color. I highly suggest washing them out one piece at a time and towel drying well so the colors don’t bleed into each other. If they do, you may see a “marbleizing” effect. I love when the colors all swirl together like that, but if you’re looking to keep them more defined,…

One day, while I was laying peacefully on my bed, my mother came in with a letter from Florida A&M University. I didn't really want to speculate anything because a few days before I received a letter from another college saying that I wasn't accepted. Nevertheless I was still excited when I opened it and even more so when I read that I had been accepted. So without much hesitation I packed up and headed to Tallahassee. When I arrived my mother and I took care of registration and a plethora of things you have to manage as a new student. After all the hassles of college registration were completed my mother departed for home and I was left by myself to attend college. What a great feeling! Little did I know what I had on store for the next day, my first in college.…

A dusty surface on a shelf is a low risk as it is unlikely to cause harm to anyone and is easily cleaned. Although this would be classed as a low risk contamination, staff must still wear PPE as good practice to avoid any transfer of dirt causing unhygienic/dirty uniforms. Staff still must wash their hands thoroughly, especially when they are assisting residents afterwards. Just because a contamination is classed as a low risk it does not mean that staff do not need to follow health and safety policies. There are domestic staff to undertake these simple cleaning tasks. Staff must work from the cleaner areas to the dirtier areas to minimise the spread of infection. Furniture polishes are available for this process but a neutral detergent can be used with warm water to rinse. Disposable surface wipes can also be used. Cleaning removes 80% of micro-organisms which is ideal for low risk cleaning tasks.…
