Essay On My Journey To America
It was a snowy wet day it was also the start of my journey to America. I knew I had to wear a warm shirt my ripped jacket my warned pants with rips and holes all over them and my sandals. My mom Bonnie, Dad Paul, and I Percy Elliott started our walk to the boat. It was so cold my feet feel tingly and weird the holes in my jacket are getting worse the cold if unbearable. “I SEE IT” I screamed we ran to the docks. We look for are boat called Cairnvalona. “I found it I found it” dad screamed we ran I finally got to the ship we got on.

Its been a 8 days since we got on the ship. Think I counted at least 43 people who passed away I see about 5 dead bodies tossed in the water. I'm so hungry I haven't eaten since the day I left. I've been on this boat for three weeks now I'm freezing dad and I sneak up to first class in look for food in the trash when everyone was asleep. We found things like bread, chips, fish, potatoes, and corn we also found water, juice, wine, and beer. Its been a month now and I a feeling ill see it today ill seen the most amazing thing today just thinking if it gives me butterflies. I just imagine how beautiful it is how loud all the yelling will be when we pass it I cant wait. …show more content…

We finally arrived the split In to groups of men and women. They asked us questions and then seen if we showed and sign of illness I seen about 100 out of 300 people get marked with chalk. We finally went to the kissing point I searched everywhere for dad I couldnt find. Finally I heard someone yell Percy over here and I turned and there he was I ran into his arms. \
