Answer: The national curriculum for mathematics aims to ensure that learners become fluent in the fundermentas of mathematics so that pupils develop understanding in the ability to recall and apply knowledge rapidly and accurately.At the foundation stage the curriculum for mathematics is followed and divided into numbers,shapes,space and measures.The expectations for the end of the foundation stage are expressed as early goals for each aspect of the subject area.
