The first reason Percy Jackson is one of the bravest people in any of the many stories I have read is that he openly admits he's a little worried or fearful but flat out doesn't care in the least. He even tells us “My knees were like jelly. My hands were shaking so bad I almost dropped the sword “ (Riordan p.13 ). Therefore, he is scared but if he didn’t tell us I would not have known. He plays it so cool in the end of the book when he irritates a god. It shows us this when Ares tells Percy “Oh, man, you are really asking to be turned into a grease spot” (Riordan p.325). After, he goes to beat up the god of war, the god who has studied war and fighting for well over three thousand years. “I changed direction, lunged into the side, and stabbed Riptide straight down into the water, sending the point through the god’s heel” (Riordan p. 330). I would say it is close to my reading level (9) and close to my interests. It was a action packed, adventurous, make believe novel by Rick Riordan. I hope this paper makes you to think that percy is brave. I didn’t even use one fourth of the examples like how he defeated the unstoppable Minotaur and whan he “did the only thing that came naturally: i swung the sword” (Riordan p. 13). This is awesome because he defeats the monstrous creature and he has never touched a sword before that. Anyway, Percy was arguably the bravest character I have ever read
