What Is The First Step In The Hero's Journey

Percy’s experiences goes through the steps of The Hero’s Journey. First of all,”The Hero’s Journey” first step is Separation and percy gets separated from every field trip he is on because is a troubled kid . Percy feels out of place being on field trips because on every field trip something weird or unlucky happens to him and only to him. For Example, on his fifth-grade school,he had an accident with a Revolutionary War Cannon and ended up accidently hitting the school bus. Being a Half-Blood makes him not normal. Furthermore, The second step is to call to adventure and percy got in trouble and had to go with Mrs.Dodds.When percy reached up with Mrs.Dodds told
him to confess or he would suffer the pain. Then, Mrs.Dodds turned into a shriveled hag with bat wings and was about to attack percy when Mr.Brunner came in and through the pen to percy which turned into a sword. Percy ended up vaporizing Mrs.Dobbs. At last but not least, the third step is entering the unknown and when percy went out no one remembered nothing. The first thing Percy did was go up to Mrs.Brunner and asked him if he knew Mrs.Dodds was and he did not know her.He also asked Nancy Bobofit and she did not remember Mrs.Dodds or him pushing her and there was a new math teacher. Percy also did not understand what was the problem with the old ladies knitting the sock. In Conclusion, Percy’s experiences are related to the Hero’s Journey.
