Soura, the Supreme Court of Idaho defined the ability to give legal consent to include: (1) the ability to recognize the potential consequences of sexual intercourse and, given this understanding, (2) the ability to make a knowing choice (STATE of Idaho). Making such a big deal of the situation is going to make your children sneak around behind your backs. Instead of trying to restrict it, establish Romeo and Juliet laws and make the punishment less harsh. Eliza Hollenberg once wrote “teenagers are having sex, and a lot of it. This year alone approximately 10 million teenager engage in 126 million act of sexual intercourse” (Hollenberg, Eliza) Sex is sex.
