What is this elusive event that always happens?
This event usually goes hand-in-hand with procrastination because, essentially they are the same thing. Senioritis is "a crippling disease that strikes high school seniors (C.)."
There are various symptoms that come with this disease, some of which are very debilitating. This means that the individual who has been diagnosed with senioritis may have let his or her
grades slip a little too much to be recovered. Sometimes you can recover from senioritis before it is too late. For many, senioritis is all too real and can be very serious. Most students do not know the full effect of senioritis until they are a senior and begin dismissing essays, such as this one, until the very last minute or not even doing it at all.
Senioritis can affect college acceptances and financial aid. Some colleges rescind acceptances, or take them back and reconsider the applicant. This usually only happens when a student drops his or her grades drastically, such as going from an A student to a C or D student; this makes the college admissions counselors think that he or she is not ready for college.
