The American Dream is one of the most wanted goals to achieve because “America was truly a new world, a place where one could live one’s life and pursue one’s goals unburdened by older societies’ prescribed ideas of class, caste, and social hierarchy”(David Kamp, paragraph 16). With this statement in mind it shows that the American Dream can be obtained, but it will take time and effort for one to achieve this goal of the American Dream. Many American citizens have a lifetime goal to achieve the American Dream, whatever it may be, whether it is living with a wife and kids in a big house or becoming the next president of the U.S it may differ.
