American Dream
The American Dream is the statement that anyone can do absolutely anything they want, need, or see fit to better their lives. If someone feels they are unhappy with something about their lives, they have the opportunity (Something that is rare in this world) to do as they please to make what they want better.
Some people believe the American Dream is all about money in today's world and I believe half of this statement is true. Anything you need or want to do requires money weather it’s for anything you need to survive; examples house, water, food, and etc… Or if it is for your wants and for pleasure, you will always need money anywhere you go for anything you need But, I feel money, just for the economy to be able to exist, is needed everywhere and is there to be a balance for things. The American Dream may involve but it is not required to be happy, you are allowed to get money by almost whatever job suits you. You are allowed to do with your money how you feel it necessary to better your life. …show more content…

Money can, or as they say, will control your life. It will take away your happiness and become how you live. You will have to have money and have to
have the most expensive things. In the Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsby and Tom Buchanan are having a conversation about Daisy, Tom’s wife. Mr. Gatsby and Daisy like each other. “Daisy doesn’t love, she never did, she only married you because I was poor and you were rich and she was tired of waiting.” -Mr Gatsby
The American Dream is all about you as a person being able to have the freedom to do anything and everything you could possibly want with your life because your life is yours. To have the ability to live how you have dreamed about your entire
life.
People will argue that we have so many rule stopping us from being completely free and that we are limited, I can assure you this is the most free country on the planet. We have more human rights and liberties than anywhere else. I agree that some things are tied down that some other people might want to do but these rules and laws were around before you and all have a reason for existing. “The American dream is not that every man should be level with every other man. The American dream is that every man must be free to become whatever God intends us to be.”- Ronald Reagan
Being happy and having a positive outlook on life is a big part. Don’t focus on everything wrong with you life, the whole point of everything is to be happy. So if you're working on making a certain part of your life better and it is talking too long, just remember you are working on it and your life is good that you are able to change something.
Many people argue that looking at the bad stuff in life is easier to do than look at the positive outlook. They think this is the way to help them become happier. When in fact this is the way to help you become more sad.
The American dream is still here and it can be pursued if you are doing the very best that you can do. You are able to do what you want, so choose wisely.
