Leadership is based on a plethora of skills that assist in reaching specific goals. It is hard to choose specific skills that are more important than others. I have selected five that I feel are the most important when dealing with leadership. In order to create a successful team you have to choose the skills that you’d like to add to your own list. The following skills are what I look for in my management team.
Determining specific skills that make an outstanding leader is quite a challenge. Although there are many, the most essential skills are honesty, sense of humor, ability to delegate, confidence and a positive attitude. Without these specific traits, leaders will have a hard time getting their team to work together. I have briefly explained how to not only practice these traits but also the skills needed to acquire and retain them. We can never fully teach someone how to become a leader, it is something that has to come from within. Honesty

If a leader is not honest, the message that is given to their team is somewhat forged. This, in turn, will spread dishonesty through every level of the organization.
