My Favorite Sport To Watch Basketball is a well known sport that many people enjoy watching and I am definitely one of those people. The things that make it most interesting to me is how aggressive it is, the idea of how it is played, and it is fast pace. There are many more reasons but those are the main ones. Most of the sports we play involves be aggressive with one another. Basketball is one of the top aggressive sports i can think of. Boy's basketball is way more aggressive than girl's basketball. Sometimes when basketball players are too aggressive, they get called for a foul. Foul is a word they use when someone is hit, pushed, or anything overly aggressive. After they get 5 they are pulled out of the game. The whole concept of how the ball gets into the basket and the struggle it takes to get it there is . Many people think it is boring and hard to watch, but i find it very fun and exciting! It takes a lot of talent to get the ball into the basket. I know that from experience. It is very hard and takes a lot of practice! Being fast is a key talent to play basketball. When a player have possession of the basketball they have to be very fast to run past the defenders and make it to the basket. Also, as a defender, they need to be even faster to keep up with them and possibly steal the ball away from them. Along with being fast, being able to run for a long time without becoming short of breath is a big part in playing. Many sports involve being fast like this one. Those are three of many reasons why I love to watch basketball. Although I do not play, I find it even more interesting than softball, the sport I play! I hope this essay helped explain, at least a litte bit, why it can be so entertaining.

For me, it has to do with the excitement and appreciation of the game. Since I was big enough to hold a baseball, I have been playing the game. I appreciate it because I have played it and I have experienced the struggle between pitcher and batter. Neither one hates the other, but when the pitcher takes the mound, he or she wants to blast it past his opponent. Conversely, when batters step up, their personal goal is to put a hole through the pitcher when they send the ball blazing back. It’s this understanding of the emotions involved that makes watching the game enjoyable to…

Sports games are also a variety themselves; they range from baseball to football to soccer. Anyone who plays sports enjoys these types of games because of the competitiveness and the enjoyment of playing it with friends. In an article by S.A. Perkins from the student review, he states, “I like playing the game of FIFA. Not exactly on my own- playing a career is alright, for a time, but it gets boring very fast- but with my friends it is extremely fun.” Playing this type of game with friends is very enjoyable, which is way many people play these games. Later in his article, Perkins speaks about how he enjoys sports games because he feels a sense of accomplishment and pride in doing well at sports games, while it is the opposite for him in real-life. Many people may play sports games because they are not amazing at them in real-life but they still enjoy this sports. Whether the reasons for these games, the industry sees the potential in them. The History Of Basketball

Since its beginning over a century ago, basketball has evolved from a simple form of exercise with only a few rules to a highly competitive and complex national sport. Basketball was invented by James Naismith at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1891 (Fox 11-13). It began as an activity for the “‘ball-game’ void” months of winter (Hanson 65), and Naismith had five standards for the game. He wanted a ball that could be handled by a player’s hands; no one was to run with the ball, and anyone could grab the ball from another player as long as the ball was in play. There was to be no personal contact, and the goal was to be raised from the ground. He created the idea and standards for basketball by combining certain aspects of American…

“It is a beautiful game” is how most people praise it. There are no set plays, no timeouts, no play/shot clock, no set score. Just 22 people on a 120 x 90 meter field. The simplicity is what got me hooked. Just knocking a ball around for 90 minutes, pretty straightforward right? I learned that there is so much more than that. Terms like: 4-3-3, switching the field, a 45 ball, side on, containing your defender, 50/50 balls, and swinging the ball made the game more complex.…
