Discrimination comes in different forms. It can be direct when someone’s gender, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, age, disability or being transgender is used as an explicit reason for treating them differently. An example would be an employer not hiring African Americans because he does not like them. Prejudice is an attitude towards a person or group based on their differences. An example would be someone who was robbed by a Mexican now thinking all Mexicans are thieves. A stereotype is a generalization of characteristics of people or a group based off their differences. An example would be all Asian people are poor drivers.
