Their expressions,angers.Their up sides and down sides,their good days and bad days.Their frustrations concerns their agresives attitudes to ward the nurse in spite of all,the nurse has the duty to do his or her job in at the same level or even deeper,showing compassion in concern to the patient.
I use empatethic commication when talking to patients.I believe same principles can be applied to home care.Either for a manager who deals with difficult clients or hard to retain employee,or a carer or a nurse having misunderstandings with a client ‘s family.When I showing empathy,I am trying to imagine how the other person feels and resonate with his or hers feelings,while detached concern refers to the fact that I know the client is in a certain state,but I am not emotionally attuned to his or state .Example: A client is completely immobilized,confined to bed and being in pain,he talks in a soft voice.I tend to talk back to him in the same manner but some how I …show more content…
The patient did not choose to be in hospital or clinic , but was forced to by life circonstances.Knowing the fact we are all subject to life events it is important that we show compassion to ward those who need it the most when it is need it. Help the patient feel humain again do not count the patient has a case number let’s the patient participate in the decision about his or her life.Even though they may not understand the medical terminology treat them with respect, call them by their name , recognize they may even be angry with me as a nurse but with patience in an come response I can ease their fears.Be empathetic is to do for orther what I would like them to do for
