Scenario Joe Smith a sales representative is one of Tom Tramlins top people in sales for UWEAR and PALEDENIM. Bill Bateman the CEO of the Peninsula Hotel chains met with Joe through Tom through the last contract and is meeting with him again to discuss the renewal of the contract for supplying uniforms for their employees at the hotel. Joe has become good friends with Bill and his wife and have received many perks since the last signing of the contract, like being invited to go on their yacht, social events, and staying at the hotel which is very beautiful and has an excellent swimming pool with a waterfall that the kids absolutely love. Joe landed the last contract by pricing the uniforms very low and ended up being reprimanded by the management team for doing so, but if he had not then he would not of landed this client that now makes up 50% of their sales. During this meeting, Bill informs Joe that he is happy to be working with him on the renewal of the contract and tells Joe that the competitor Threads4U has offered to beat your price by 10% and wants to know what Joe can offer them to keep the contract. Joe knows that there is no way he can bid the making of the uniforms any lower than he did the last time for fear of losing his job and is also worried that if her were to bid any lower that it could cause layoffs and job loss to the people of UWEAR. Joe being desperate to save the contract must consult with the management team so that he can get approval before moving forward with any counter offer with Bill. In the meantime, Joe receives a call from Bill inviting him to go out on the yacht for the weekend with the family. Joe feels relieved that Bill has called with the invite thinking their friendship has been a little distant lately due to the contract negotiations.
