A healthcare workforce is composed of different generational cohorts, due to it being composed of both the new and old generations. Each generation group comes with its very own ethics, values, culture, and overall work experience. The mixture of the different generations can create a definite conflict amongst the workforce. Somehow there needs to be a meld of the generations so that they may be able to work together in a condusive environment (Notter, J., 2013).

Management is faced with this dilemma on a daily basis. It is a known fact that all businesses need to make a profit to succeed, in order to grow a business needs to take this profit and invest it, after profit is invested and revenue is generated the business can begin to grow. Where the conflict starts to become a problem is when the medical business is providing more charity care, than it is providing care for profit. This conflict is one of ethical nature. The medical workforce is sometimes forced in having to treat one patient better than another just because they meet one of the above criteria's. Is this ethical (Kreimer, S., 2010)?
These are just a few examples of conflicts that can possibly occur in the healthcare industry, and the management staff will need to have the appropriate training to resolve the conflicts, so that they do not affect the daily operation of the organization, or cause an unethcial standard of care by the workforce or organization.
The examples I have just given are perfect examples that occur in our healthcare industry today. They have become so prevelant in the industry today, and have such an impact on the attempt of a healthcare industry to meet its mission, that the conflicts need to be resolved as quickly as possible. Management staff needs to have the appropriate training to be able to detect the conflict, determine which part of the workforce is being influenced by the conflict, eradicate the conflict, and have business continue as usual with the conflict having been
