Ethical Subjectivism
1. What is the basic idea of ethical subjectivism? Why might a person argue that the theory is broken. What are the flaws of the theory?
The basic idea of ethical subjectivism is that your own opinion is your own truth and considered a fact even if is not in agreement with someone else’s opinion/truth because the conclusion was drawn from your own perspective from personal experiences. A person might argue that the theory is broken when the truth of another is a falsehood according to his/her perspective.
There are some flaws with this theory. Personal opinions are only good in limited environments and circumstances. This theory gives the okay that statements can be expressed according to one’s opinion/beliefs with no factual evidence.

The first way is to show hat the theory is mistaken in truth. Second, is to show that the theory is inconsistent. And the third way to raise objection to an ethical theory is to show that the theory is incomplete. 3. In 38 who saw murder, why do you think no one called the police? Would you call? Why or why not? In 38 who saw murder, I believed no one called the police because they were not in tuned with their moral compass and were being selfish because it was not happening to them nor a love one; an example of “not my circus, not my monkeys”. Some people tend to disassociate themselves from situations that does not impact them nor benefit them.
I am a conscientious person and would have called the police because that was the right thing to do. I believe that I would have had remorse if I watched and did nothing. I feel that the impact of her death would not have been detrimental to my state of mind knowing I did what I could to help.
4. In the Ring of Gyges, it is suggested that all men are immoral. And the men that appear to be moral on the surface only do so because they fear the consequences of their actions. Where do you stand? Do believe that most people are moral because they "should" be or are they moral because they fear what will happen to them if they are

Beginning today I was called to visit Main street to determine whether a man died accidentally or was he murdered in cold blood . It was November 13, 2008 at approximately 1:30 am . I arrived at the crime scene at about 1:40 am the victim's name was Arthur Volupides , He was 36 years old , he was married to Queenie Volupides . I saw the victim , on the floor with a big wound in his head and with his legs on the stairs . After investigating a little more I approach to the one witnesses Queenie Volupides after asking the routine questions like where were you at the time of his death? Or At what time did you arrive at the house? After answering my questions she said “ Arthur slipped and fell down the stairs . He was coming down for another drink…

It bothered me that he was not at least kept in custody for the night and go from there. No matter how close of a family member he is to me, I feel very conflicted that he was released without any conditions and that he it was fine for him to be back in the house the next morning. To be completely honest, I don't think I would have had the courage to call the police after the assault. I could only sit there in shock crying and feeling afraid. I think that if it wasn't somebody who witnessed what happened and helped inform the police, my life of how I was hurt by my brother would have been back to where it has been in the past, hidden. As a victim, I know that it would take me a a lot of courage to stand up against my offender, but I am vulnerable and I really need you and your colleagues help so that justice can be served and that I can finally have the ability to face my biggest fear. A crime has occurred, and the offender has to face justice. Unfortunately, out of all people, I am his sister and the victim at the same time. I strongly believe this to be the best resolution and we can both move on after this event. As a police officer, this duty is entrusted to you by society and I trust I trust…

After reading the article where the four year old boy was fatally hit by a car in the middle of the night my heart ached. I immediately put myself in the place of the driver. When prompted to think about which 5 people in my opinion will be most affected by this incident I look at the driver, the grandparents, the sister, and the parents of the children and anyone who witnessed the crash. As I previously mentioned before I automatically placed myself as being the driver. To take the life of someone, especially a child must be devastating. In the shoes of the grandparents I would be hurt. Constantly wondering if the doors were locked, and dreading telling my child that her baby is dead. I would imagine that they feel responsible. Turning to the sister I believe that she would be devastated from that point on out needing counseling and a lot of love. The parents may be angry at the grandparents at first, angry with the other child and even the driver. They will forever mourn the loss of their child. Lastly being a witness to any type of tragic event is devastating. The witnesses may be called in court and asked to remember specific details and sometimes witnesses get the details wrong because the event was so devastating. I can imagine that any witnesses with children went home and hugged them all a little tighter.…
