Ethics In The Military

Ethics is our morals, it help us determine from the right and the wrong behavior, and helps us determine the good from the bad in the human character, but it is also something that has to be constantly updated, "Ethics and character are absolute values that we cannot take for granted. They must be constantly reinforced." (Hagel). Advanced technology in the military is very debatable when it comes to an ethical perspective because the military involves lives of individuals it deals with morals. Some may argue that it is unfair to the other nations that may not be as advanced whereas others may say it is probably the best thing ever. The veterans that do fight solely do it for what they believe is to be right, and for those they love so this does not step outside of their ethics/morals. Everyone wants to go home at the end of the day to their family and friends, no one really wants to die or fight while risking their lives, they just do what they are obligated to do in order to protect and live happily. Soldiers are not robots, they are flesh and blood just like any other human being and they are as delicate as any normal human being, they have emotions, they have fear so whatever they can get out of the technology that is used in the military is probably the most useful thing ever for them, helps them continue doing what they do keeping them thriving and helps keep them from facing traumatic and life changing
The military is provided with all sorts of weaponry, machinery, advanced technology and that is something we all know, with everything they have they could have completely destroyed many many countries but they did not unless it was necessary. Clearly the military has self control, it makes wise decision because any wrong move and their actions can potentially create chaos, they have to be careful with decisions they make because everything has a consequence and the military also has rules to abide by. This basically tells us that despite having the technology that can possibly be very helpful in the military and be very deadly towards the opposing sides, the military still can not commit any unethical crimes with it.
