Eulogy For Pets
I had always wanted a puppy or pet since I was very young. However, it was fourth grade when I started to really want a dog. Every night before I went to bed I would pray and ask for a puppy for Christmas. As Christmas came and went, I had started to lose hope of ever being able to get a puppy. However, little did I know that my prayers would soon be answered. It was Saturday, February 26, 2010. It was just like any other Saturday, my parents were going to run some errands and I decided to tag along this day. It was about noon and my parents decided to go to Lowes hardware store. On the way there we saw a bright white sign with dark letters that said Cockapoo puppies and Shih tzu mix puppies for sale. My mom wanted to go look because Cockapoo puppies were her favorite dog breed. We walked into the pet shop called Gettys Pet Shop. When we walked in the …show more content…
I knew that my parents would only agree to getting the dog that was on hold.
I could hear the faint sound of my parents talking to the woman, but my thoughts were so distracting, I could barely hear what they were saying.

That is the first thing I heard after I came back to reality. My ears perked up to hearing that we would be able to take a new member of our family home. We left after giving our contact information, and went to Lowes. I kept asking questions about the what would happen if she was still available. We eventually went home and waited for the call from the pet shop that would tell us if we would be coming home with a new family member.
Right as we walked through the door, the phone rang. My dad answered the phone and my heart started beating faster with each second that went by. When my dad hung up the phone, I held my breath waiting to find out if she was ours.
"You better start cleaning so that dog can come into a clean

I saw some very, very little puppys, I really wanted them all. The one that we chose, was hiding under the crib. We named him Poncho after the parent's name.…

From the looks of her, we were not sure if she would make a full recovery or not looking at the condition she was in. You could easily tell right off the bat, the doctor was not completely sure about this dog yet from just looking at her. She was utterly amazed at how this dog, given her circumstances, would still be alive. Sitting in the waiting room with my mother, one minute felt as if it was five minutes, waiting for the doctor to come back. Finally, she had come back out and asked to speak to just my mother privately. My heart started racing. Every possible worst case scenario that could happen, ran through my mind. Maybe if I would have noticed her outside earlier than I did, she would be in a better condition. Maybe if I would have done something different, she would still be…

My name is Ted and I am one of the nephews of Louie and Amy Alves. From day one Amy faced obstacles and even on her death-bed she never showed fear, never stopped laughing and never gave up. She inspired so many people throughout the course of her life and that was obvious by the turnout at the wake last night. Amy was a die-hard sports fan and a very athletic person growing up. She had 9 brothers and sisters, which I am sure contributed to her competitiveness. There is no doubt that she came from a military family because she possessed and passed on all of the military values as well as a patriotic spirit that was unbreakable. Her selfless service and dedication to her family was top notch. She lived her entire life honorably and with courage to spare. Integrity should have been her middle name and not only did she demand respect but she also offered it to everyone she met. Before Amy had children of her own she made it her duty to be like a “mom” to many young athletes, including myself.…

When I was in the third grade I thought it would be a fantastic idea to bring my dachshund, Winston, to school. I woke up and was going to put him in his crate but, I felt so bad that he would be in there all day. So, I decided to put him in my backpack and take him with me on a little adventure. I made sure to bring a little bag of treats and make a small air hole so he could breathe. Once I arrived at school we had an area where we put our backpacks on hangers in a wooden crate. What really makes my mom say it is not real is that he didn’t bark or pee the whole day while he was alone in my bag. After the last bell rang, I took the bus home as if nothing ever happened. I suppose you can call this my personal false memory because I am still unsure if it did or didn’t happen. My mom tells me it never happened and it was all a dream but, she was not around, therefore, that’s what keeps me believing its real.…
