I. Introduction
A. I always knew looking back on the years would make me laugh. But I never knew looking back on the laughs would make me cry.

A. Piggy was truly a great friend
1. Although he got picked on, he always did what he knew was right.@
a. He stood up for what he believed in when necessary. Standing up to your enemies is hard to do, but standing up to your friends was even harder.
2. He was the best friend anyone could ever have.
a.) he was honest, trustworthy, and had a huge heart.
b.) He would take a bullet for anyone, even if they didn’t really deserve it.
B. He didn’t deserve to lose his life. Especially not the way he did.
1. He wouldn’t hurt a fly and just wanted to help everyone.
a. It seems like the people who care the most never win.
2. I would do anything to have him here.
Internal Summary
C. Not everyone liked piggy
1. Many saw him as just an annoying little boy
a. He was bullied by many i) He did nothing to deserve it though ii) He never talked poorly about anyone, and he was nothing but passionate iii) he showed determination when he built up the courage to stand up to people who were doing the wrong things.
1. If you didn’t take the time to know him, you missed out.
b. If you really knew him, then you’d know that he’d put his peers before him, just as he did recently, which cost him his life and brought sorrow to us all.
a. Although he is no longer with us, he will always be remembered as a hero to our society.

III. Conclusion
A. Someone with all the great qualities that Piggy had should not have to face death at such a young age. We are all here to day not to mourn, but to celebrate his life.
B. How lucky I am to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.
