I. Introduction a. My research paper will cover leadership and the skills needed to be a successful leader. b. The leader in my field that I choose is Mr. Gary P. Martin, who is currently serving as the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Deputy to the Commanding General. c. The purpose of this paper is to identify the leadership skills and what traits my leader has for success. d. The main ideas of my paper are, why I choose the field of study I did and to present a successful leader within my field of study.
II. My field of study is Computer and Electronics Technology a. The reason I choose this field is because I have always enjoy working with electrical devices and computers. I do have some experience in this field while I was in the U.S. Army. b. If everything goes as planned I should graduate with an Associates degree by September of 2012, but I do plan on continuing toward a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering.
III. My leader is Mr. Gary P. Martin a. The reason I choose the leader that I did is because he, like me, has served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He now serves as the Deputy to the Commanding General in CECOM, which is where I would like to work upon completion of my degree. b. Mr. Gary P. Martin works with the commander in the development and execution of organizational goals, objectives, and policies aimed at providing world-class, integrated Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions to the Soldier.
