Its “water .

70% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water is and without a doubt it is the most precious natural resource that exists on our planet.
The human body is made up of nearly 70% water. It is said that All life on earth started in water, and chances are that it will also end there. Which simply means:
No water equals no life. Water is also involved in many chemical reactions in our body, without it our body cannot function. Everyone and everything needs water to survive. Water is our most important resource that is required to ensure our survival. This resource is something that we use every day in our lives and it serves many different purposes. We use water to take showers, to flush the toilet, cook dinner, to drink, and to clean. It is used in agriculture, industries, transportation, and as an alternative energy source (eg electricity).
Some plants and fish are made up of 90% of water. There are many reasons why water is important to all living organisms.
Metabolic role of water -Hydrolysis: Hydrolysis is the reaction of a compound with water, usually resulting in the formation of one or more new compounds. Hydrolysis is an important reaction in plants and animals. The action of certain enzymes allows the hydrolysis of proteins, fats, oils, and carbohydrates.
Medium for chemical reactions: All chemical reactions take place in some kind of liquid medium.
Diffusion and Osmosis: Water is necessary for osmosis and diffusion to take place through surfaces, for example in the lungs with oxygen.
Photosynthesis: Water is extremely necessary in photosynthesis.Water as a solvent -Water is a good liquid to dissolve other substances into.
Transport: The blood plasma, tissue fluid and lymph is mostly made up of water. Therefore it is a good place for

The human body consists mostly of water, and is a major constituent to the human body and vital organs; of this 90% include blood plasma, lymph, urine, saliva, digestive juices, bile, cerebrospinal fluid and tissue fluid. Water enables substances to be transported throughout the body, red blood cells for example, as wells as supplying the medium required for metabolic reaction to take place (respiration). Without water the progression of these fluids would not be possible. Water is constantly being transported between the fluid compartments of the body.…

<br>Water is the most abundant component in any organism, the lowest is 20% in seeds, while jellyfish are 99% (hence the transparency). It plays vital roles in the metabolism of all cells and in photosynthesis (providing raw materials) in plant cells. In all cells water is used for; hydrolysis, the breakdown of a substance by water, e.g. polysaccharides to monosaccharides, forming a glycosidic bond; a medium for chemical reactions, due to its properties as a solvent; the diffusion and osmosis of substances, e.g. gaseous exchange, which need to be moist as the exchange takes place in solution, therefore there is water in the lungs or in mesophyll cells (in plants) .…
