Evidence Does Not Currently Support The Existence Of Ghosts By Benjamin Radford
Ghosts Real or Not?
As technology demands more from human existence, many interpretations of different phenomenons are misunderstood. The world is filled with many misunderstood paradoxes that makes us uncomfortable but they still exist in dark places. To further expand the topic, ghosts are spirits that still need evidence to make their existence. In an article, Evidence Does Not Currently Support the Existence of Ghosts by Benjamin Radford published in 2013, speaks of antagonistic credibility on the topic of the existence of ghosts. Many people believe that ghosts are just things we experience when our brain plays tricks on us as evidence demonstrates. With that in mind, ghosts, according to many movies or even ghost hunters, use tools to assist with their discovery of spirits around the world. However, to such extend, their validity can be compromise if technology, as well as personal misjudgment is actively revealed to be something else.

The existence of ghosts can also have logical explanations or simple ignorance of unscientific techniques. In a similar though, the value assumption made by the author was that ghosts, according to many studies and logical research, do not exist on any circumstance. In contrast, the reality assumption, according to Benjamin Radford, ghosts as other unproven phenomenons do exists but searching in the right place with evidence to suggest so. The value and reality assumptions can be tested to be true or false with specific tests or procedures to see if ghosts really exists and not having scientific or logical explanation. Benjamin Radford conducted this analytical evidence to deny the existence of ghosts. To do so he wants to prove to many people that many ghost hunters are using falsely equipment to identify spirits that do not exists at that

To clarify what's out there to be investigated, Southall begins the handbook in earnest by defining the terms, since ghosts, spirits and poltergeists are not interchangeable and represent quite different phenomena.Ghosts and apparitions are a kind a recording on the environment - a residual energy that can come from a person, animal or even an inanimate object. We can experience these lingering energies by sight, sound, smell and touch. Spirits are what people most often think of as "ghosts." A spirit is the "actual sentient presence, or soul, of an individual or individuals who have remained in the material world after his or her physical body has died." Southall continues by describing different types of spirits and the reasons they may have stayed behind.…

    The Bingham Light

My mom and stepdad took my brother and I and some other family members down to the woods one night, as we all wanted to see the infamous Bingham light. It seemed like we walked forever in the woods until we came upon a clearing in the middle of the woods. It was only about a mile though, where we had to stand and shout out John Bingham’s name until the light appeared. As we were shouting out his name, low and behold a light in the distance appeared. It was far off but you could continuously see it moving closer and closer to us. The temperature changed. It didn’t get hotter but cooler. It was very scary to be in the middle of the woods to start off with, then to see this light coming toward us even after we stopped calling his name was terrifying. We didn’t stand around for it to get to close to us. We all started running as fast as we could out of those woods. There was loud screaming coming from all of us. I remember crying and hanging on to my mom for dear life. When we got out of the woods we looked back and the light was gone. We then began to laugh. No one can say if there really is a ghost out there in those woods or if we let our imagination get the best of us. It could even be someone else playing…

Just because something seems not so realistic, doesn’t mean it can only be explained by paranormal reasons. It’s an example of the appeal to ignorance. Just because you can’t show that the supernatural or paranormal explanation is false doesn’t mean that it is true. Unfortunately, although this reasoning is logically fallacious, it is psychologically compelling.…

Are ghosts real? Many people speculate about whether paranormal phenomenon is believable and if it exists. The concept of a multiverse and unexplainable sightings have led to the belief that the supernatural and paranormal activity exists. Scientists and paranormal investigators have been studying this concept for hundreds of years from the understanding of what an entity is, the use of scientific technology to collect evidence, and personal experience. Paranormal activity is real, not just a fabrication of the mind and they are entities apart from the Earth.…

The ninety-minute documentary film is about the Scole Experiment, which is a five-year investigation into life after death. It is conducted by members of the Society for Physical Research (SPR) in the late 1990’s in Scole village in England. Tim Coleman, the director, collaborated with the Scole Group and the surviving SPR investigators and was able to interview the visitors of the experiment and was able to see some of the audio/video recordings made by the group. According to the film, there were overall six mediums and fifteen investigators from the SPR. Most paranormal phenomena showed in this film is the evidence of afterlife particularly physical mediumship such as disembodied voices from old radios and tape recorders, ghostly lights fluttering about the room and inside the bodies of the investigators, images appearing on film inside secured containers, reports of touches from unseen hands, levitation of the table, ancient things appearing inside secured rooms and matter becoming immaterial. As observed in the documentary film, there are numerous investigators and sitters involved, comprised not just by paranormal experts but also renowned scientists, due to the large number and consistency of paranormal phenomena shown without any fraud observed, many acclaimed that Scole experiment is really true. I mean how can they get so many big and prominent psychics, scientists, and investigators speak up to their film if the experiment is just a hoax? I don’t think these people can afford to disrupt their good reputation by participating in such a hoax. Hence, this must be really true evidence that humans have…

There is always a part of us who believes in something that is outside the field of science even though it has been proven scientifically by some to be untrue. This is because nobody has ever given any conclusive evidence that paranormal beliefs such as ghost and aliens exists. While many sightings have been reported throughout the years, there is still no solid proof that these sightings were real. Why are paranormal beliefs still so popular when it lacks solid evidence? One reason is that countless photographs and videos of these so called ‘sightings’ have been recorded and with the help of the internet, spreads like wildfire. The media also plays an important role in why people believe in the paranormal. This is because many horror movies nowadays claim that it is based on true events which further fuels people’s curiosity. According to Britt (2008), people believe in the paranormal simply because they want to and wanting to find an answer to a mystery is like an addiction to them. Britt (2008) also claims that the human brain is constantly trying to figure something out and when it is not able to do so, the brain comes up with bizarre explanation. Furthermore, some people believe in the paranormal simply because they think they have actually encountered it but many expert claims that it is the mind playing tricks on them. Think about it, if you have not watched a horror movie then how would you know if what you have seen is something paranormal? In some extreme cases where some people want to know the truth really badly, they would actually provoke or even perform rituals to summon ghosts and demons. Paranormal belief such as the belief in astrology, UFOs, monsters and ghosts are very common as many people claimed to have 'sighted' them and there are many research and investigation to either prove that their beliefs are real or fake.…

    Are Ghosts Real?

There may be many mixed opinions on how ghosts are real not, some may believe that they sometimes are there, and some may believe that they aren’t there at all. It all depends on the circumstance and evidence. Personally, I believe that they are like God and always watching over us, no matter where they are. There are many shows and movies and countless amount of websites about people who have claimed to have had experiences with ghosts and may have seen them. These are shows and movies such as “A Haunting” on Discovery Channel, and “Paranormal Activity” which was a hit movie last year. These are very entertaining to people who like scary stuff, but are also slightly dramatized for extra entertainment. Many people picture ghosts as the face with long white sheets over them. I picture them to regular people who look normal, but simply just dead. Obviously, because once we die, we can’t come back to Earth and tell people what it’s like, we also can’t prove if ghosts are sitting right in front of us, or not even there. It depends, do you want to believe that when you’re sleeping, a ghost could be right there looking at you, or under your bed, or in your closet? If not, you should take it into consideration. There are also many tools that ghost hunters use to sometimes detect if they are there. One of these tools is called an Electromagnetic Field Detector, also known as an EMF, is the modern day ghost researcher's tracking device. With this instrument it is possible to locate and track energy sources. It will detect fluctuations in electromagnetic fields and low strength moving EMF fields that have no source. It is a common theory that spirits disrupt this field in a way that you can tell a ghost is present by higher than normal readings. Most “proof” that comes from scientists to tell if ghosts are real is from modern technology. Some people may think that ghosts are completely fake and a waste of time, but, if you went back in time and…

The belief in manifestations of the spirits of the dead is widespread, dating back to animism or ancestor worship in pre-literate cultures. Certain religious practices—funeral rites, exorcisms, and some practices of spiritualism and ritual magic—are specifically designed to rest the spirits of the dead. Ghosts are generally described as solitary essences that haunt particular locations, objects, or people they were associated with in life, though stories of phantom armies, ghost trains, phantom ships, and even ghost animals have also been recounted.…
