Dear Sister,

Praised be Jesus and Mary!

On June 19, 2012, I received a letter from one of our students expressing her interest to help in the library as a volunteer. She is Ms. Scarlet C. Duka from Physical Therapy Department. As stated in her letter attached to this, she has two school days only to spend in a week, and the rest are free days. In fact, she had been helping us out even before she submitted her letter.

I am confident that this student is of good character and trustworthy. She is also respectful, responsible and committed. She can become a significant contribution in providing services to our clientele.

Ms. Duka willfully volunteers herself without any expectation. But I believe that giving should always be reciprocated even with simple gesture of appreciation. Hence, I am requesting permission, if we could provide her with lunch for the days that she would render her services. This amount will be taken from the library fines.

I hope that you would consider her to become part-time library staff member as volunteer and may the Lord bless us with more.

Respectfully yours,

Imelda F. Dugan

It has been more than three years that I know this applicant. When I joined Kepler in 2014, this applicant was a student in the first year. During that academic year, I taught her communications and other skills that helped her to work well on her projects. Through her works and class participation, I could see that she was a hard work. She always met deadlines and make sure her works were of high quality. Another thing is that she was always looking for support whenever needed. In fact, whenever she found out that she missed something in class, she could attend office hours for clarification. In 2015, when she was hired as a course facilitator, she was very committed, determined and responsible. In fact, when she had to work on any task, she made sure to complete it on time and with efficiency. Till now, her actions show that she is collaborative. She really believes in team work. In fact, she knows that for a team to be…

From that moment I noticed that he was a good person at heart and socially aware of the many issues that plague our communities. Having had the opportunity to speak with him about his educational endeavors I quickly learned that he was very passionate about his studies. In-fact he made it very clear that he planned on pursuing his bachelor’s degree immediately following completion of his associates. I can attest to the fact that he is extremely focused and determined to complete any task placed before him. His grades are up-to-par and I’m sure that he came to Jackson State University with great references.…

Mrs. Gamarra first offered me to go with her to a meeting at Wake Baptist hospital to meet with other community leaders to help organize programs in Forsyth County. On October 5th , the day of the event Mrs. Gamarra said that there was another thing that came up that devoted her attention more. I was understanding but I wanted to gain experience in a different way. At this point, I realize that I can only do paper and data work, because that is it more stable and easier for me to do. Mrs. Gamarra and my schedule does not always connect. On October 7th, Mrs. Gamarra asked me to research Safety Net Clinic in the nearby counties.…

The child I chose to observe during the course of the semester name is Adrianna, she is in third grade in class 3-221. She is a female and eight years old. She is currently attending the school P.S.225, which is located on 1075 Oceanview Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11235. I chose Adrianna because I felt I could relate to her positive energy.
