Example Of A Case Study The Case Of Stephanie

Stephanie is a 16 year old Caucasian female who lives in Clark with Linda Piesco (Mother); Dominic Palermo (Mother’s Boyfriend); and two sisters Emily, age 19 and Samantha Piesco age 15. Stephanie was referred to FACT by St. Clare’s CCIS unit. Stephanie has been hospitalized twice for presenting with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts with plan to take either Klonopin or Effexor overdose. Stephanie has a history of past admission for similar reasons except that she felt that bugs were crawling on her. She also have a variety of OCD symptoms (i.e. ritualistic handwashing and had marked preoccupation with devils and zombies. Mrs. Linda informs CM that there was a past incident where Stephanie reported an incident of sexual assault by a 20 year old man. This sexual assault incident took place while Stephanie was intoxicated at a party. The 20 year old male was not charged which plays a role in youth depressive episodes. It was also reported that Stephanie has a history of drinking vodka but has not drink since the sexual assault incident.
She is polite and well mannered. She open and honest about current and past hospitalizations. She reports have social anxiety, not liking school her school setting and having minimum friendships. Mrs. Piesco reports that she and Stephanie have a conflicting relationship at times because youth feels her mother don’t spend enough time with her or she does care. Stephanie usually feels this way when she is having one of her depressive episodes. Stephanie has been linked to High Focus Center in Cranford for OP services. She has her intake assessment this evening. Mrs. Piesco will inform CM on the outcome of Stephanie’s appointment. Mrs. Piesco express to CM that all she and youth father wants is for Stephanie to participate in services so that she is able to find healthier ways to cope and solve
