Examples Of Ambition In Julius Caesar
One of the many themes of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is conflict and ambition. Throughout the play, there were many conflicts that were all based on the ambitions of the characters. The most ambitious character was Julius Caesar. Most conflicts were started off of his ambitions. Other conflicts such as the ones leading to Caesar’s death was started due to his own people being jealous of him.
The most major conflict was the death of Caesar. Brutus was the only character that wasn’t killing Caesar over jealousy. He thought that Caesar’s ambition would lead him into a dictatorship. Brutus thought that by killing Caesar he was saving the people of Rome. The death of Caesar leads Rome into more conflict.
