Have you ever wondered why Native Americans seem so separated from the rest of the world? The Native American culture has been changed drastically over the years since the White Americans assimilated them. Examples of this happening are their clothing, agriculture,and their rights. The first way that they were assimilated was their clothing. They were forced to wear the clothing of the white immigrants instead of their traditional clothing. The traditional Native American clothing included moccasins , a type of shoe they used to cover their feet during cold times or when they went on long journeys, feathers in their hair for decoration Leather clothing from the animals they had hunted. The rights they had before they assimilated were way different in their tribe it didn't matter how much they had the only thing that mattered was how they treated other people. Another example of this is how much food and how many items they brought to the tribe to provide for everyone. Once they were assimilated they had to walk a long way to get food they rarely left the reservations they also had to make there own personal things and sell them to the white people so they could make a living.
