We live in times where morality is an aesthetic priority, even though it may not be a practical priority for many of us. We spend a great deal of time rationalizing our decisions, acting as though there is some sort of black-and-white dichotomy of good and evil that has somehow become anachronistic, then forging ahead with our own choices in some sort of declaration of independence from this dichotomy.
