V.H. related to the anxiety related to the symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma includes the following: by the end of this month, Mrs. V.H. would be able to experience less anxiety related to COPD and asthma as evidence by performing less strenuous activities to induce these episodes. Patients who have COPD should take breaks in between performing activities of daily living. The idea of the patient overexerting themselves can cause the patient to experience shortness of breath more easily and this can bring on the feeling of anxiety. Second, the desired outcome for Mrs. V.H. related to her personal belief and values health includes: by the end of one week, Mrs. V.H. would be able to use spiritual practices effectively, as evidence by the use of spiritual rituals that allows the ability for her to cope with some of the stress factors related to her illnesses. The use of the spiritual practices, will help guide Mrs. V.H. during the most stressful times of her current health condition and allows the ability to heal within. Third, Mrs. V.H. will be manage the factor of having one doctor’s office and hospital in the local area by the end of two weeks as evidence by verbalizing resources in the local area to assist with her current medical condition. V.H. should display. First, Mrs. V.H. should be able to independently perform the relaxation techniques and knowing when the appropriate time to utilize each task. Second, she would be able to pray, read the bible, and use the spiritual guidance from her pastor. Mrs. V.H. reads the bible every day and discovers different scriptures that has a positive influence on her response to the current health status. Finally, the close family member is able to find a local support group for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease through the use of the internet. By joining the support group in the local area, Mrs. V.H. would be able to gain information of coping with some of the symptoms of the illness from the members within the support
