Examples Of Lifeguarding
One weakness I have is I don’t have a lot of experience lifeguarding. I haven’t been given the opportunity to lifeguard and gain experience, so if I was given the opportunity, I would prove that I am capable of the job.

One thing I do well is displaying leadership. I can step up and guide others when I find it necessary. My patience and ability to work well with people around me are just a few of the qualities that I possess that make me a strong leader.

I am looking for a job because I am trying to gain experience for future careers. Regardless of what jobs I may find myself in in the upcoming years, the skills that I will acquire while lifeguarding will help me in future positions. All of the skills I have collected through school up to this point will help me enormously in any upcoming position. Attending school has helped to give me a stronger work ethic and has taught me how to collaborate and work with others, which will be valuable in the position as a lifeguard.

I think that I am a good candidate for the job because of my strong work ethic and my quick learning abilities. My work ethic will help continue to move the company in a positive direction because I will do my best work on anything that is asked of me. Being a quick learner will help adjust to any changes that would occur on the job.

In order to be successful in this position, I believe that you would need to work well with others, particularly children. You also need to be able to show authority and leadership. My second strength that I have as a leader would be my visionary perspective and my strong eye on the future. I will always keep the big picture of the task or goal in mind while working through the details and will try not to get hung up on the smaller items. I will share my visions with upper management as well as associates so that they understand some of the decisions that I make and also to let them see the larger picture and vision that I possess.…

My strongest leadership qualities include sympathy for others, perseverance, and motivation. When I see others in need of help, I am able to sympathize with them and I become motivated and driven to seek help for them. I persevere, and give my best effort until I feel I have done what I can. My leading by example inspires others to pitch in too, and together we can rise up to the cause. This can be seen in many famous instances of bravery and leadership, such as with Dian Fossey and her fight to end gorilla slaughter. These qualities are very important not only to be a good leader, but a good person as…

Some of the characteristics I need to improve on include being overly ambitious, procrastination, being too demanding of teammates, being unable to articulate my vision to others and lack of confidence. These weaknesses are important because they take part in defining who I am and how I am viewed. For example, I do no want to be the team member that is difficult to work with, that is not how I want the business community to view me. These weaknesses hinder my ability to achieve my vision due to the fact that they all impact my character negatively. I will not be given the opportunity to take part in extracurricular group projects (which are essential in developing my fundamental leadership qualities) if I am lacking confidence or lacking the ability to articulate my vision. Procrastination and being overly ambitious will also hinder my vision of gaining a positive…

The only weakness I have is adapting to change. I never knew I had this kind of trouble in life, but I learned about something I have to work on. After analyzing it I realize it is a problem. Because I get nervous when I start something new or when I get stuck doing something I cannot do, I start to get frustrated. After learning this about myself, I need to work on making my weakness into strength by adapting to any type of changes in my life. My strengths included following instructions and adhering to values. I am very good when I have instructions in front of me as I build something new or when I have an assignment. Following instructions is my biggest strength in my life because it is something I use every day. Adhering to values is something new that I learned about myself just because I never noticed it in my life. I am the type of person who will stand by the truth in every situation around my.…

‘‘The Lifeguard’’ by Mary Morris is a short story that focusses on change over time. A lifeguard accustomed to be the lord of all he surveys and with a big self-esteem, has a rude awakening when he proves deficient in the first aid needed to save a toddler, Becky, on the beach. The author demonstrates that we realise what we have only when a shattering event occurs. Trough characterization, foreshadowing and symbolism, Morris infers that once we realise what we have, it’s too late.…

A research question, which is more specific and focused than a general topic, is the question that your research paper will be answering. The dividend irrelevance theory is a concept that is based on the premise that the dividend policy of a given company should not be considered particularly important by investors. Further, the terms of that dividend policy should not have any bearing on the price of the shares of stock issued by that company. With this particular financial theory, the idea is that investors can always sell a portion of their shares if they want to generate some amount of cash flow. As with most investment theories, the dividend irrelevance theory has its share of supporters and detractors.…

Today in America, millions of American citizens are both confused and outraged by the fact that there are still laws that are preventing people from using one of the most popular and controversial, illegal substances in the world: marijuana. According to recent polls, fifty percent of Americans want marijuana to be completely legal and decriminalized (Blodget), and a whopping eighty percent of Americans want it to be at least legalized for medical use (RangelMD). So why do so many Americans want marijuana to be legalized? To some this question can be easily answered, but to others, it’s not so simple. There are way too many reasons to count why people think marijuana should or should not be legal or illegal. However, one cannot deny the many effects decriminalizing marijuana would have on our rights, our safety, and our economy.…
