When groups of human beings get together, they inevitably from fractions. These groups, though, can have a positive or negative effect on a society. Reasons are because one person can say one thing then other person say something else. then if it goes outside to the people the frustration can go on them and make a big crazy thing. But it can also go a good way that everyone does get the same thing and then there are no problems. Their are all these fractions though when they think that everything went good there will always be that one fraction group that comes and disturbs the peacefulness. The factions do have freedom of speech so they can't do anything about.
On the James Madison text he says the people are gonna want something they like. Alittle none powerful group can't stop a big powerful group so the biggest and most powerful fraction is gonna get want they want until someone out beats them. which means if one faction gets too big they could make a negative problem in society because the smaller factions don't like what they are doing and it could get ugly and stuff because of a disagreement. Then from there you gonna have a big competition to be the best faction out their. I think the author disagrees with him because what i am getting from the author is why not just make a rule where one faction can't get bigger then all the faction some that it would all be equal size of factions. I know its their freedom to have a fraction but it doesn't say you can't put a limit to how big they get. If they did that they wouldn't have so much competition and violence to try to out take the biggest faction.
